A marketplace for educational content and services that provides all schoolchildren and schools across the country, regardless of their location, with access to high-quality educational materials.
This was a unique, nationally significant project with no existing counterparts, which we had to build entirely from scratch.
Create a completely new and unique product from scratch that caters to the needs of various user groups, including teachers, students, parents, publishers, and tutors.
The team consisted of 30 members, including product specialists, analysts, frontend and backend developers, and DevOps engineers. I was the sole designer responsible for the new product's design, with my solutions being reviewed by the design lead.
User Interviews
01
This project involves multiple user groups, each with its own tasks and needs. To address this, we first collaborated with analysts to conduct interviews with representatives from each group. Our goal was to identify pain points in their current interactions and gather insights into their vision of ideal collaboration.
Focus group
02
We brought users together to develop a unified vision for the future product, ensuring it would meet the needs of all user groups. During this process, we outlined the required functionality and established priorities for development.
Prototyping
and Testing
03
Figma's functionality allows us to quickly create clickable prototypes for users, ensuring that we correctly understood their needs from the previous stages. This also helps us address various details and move forward with the final design, incorporating necessary revisions. It's worth noting that I regularly conducted this prototyping phase throughout the project's development.
Design system
04
For the project, we developed a custom design system, to which I made a significant contribution. As a reference, we used the open-source design system Ant Design.
Final design
05
Since most users primarily access the service via desktop, we prioritized developing the product for that platform first. Afterward, we adapted it for other resolutions, including mobile devices.
Adaptive
06
The primary devices for interacting with the service are laptops and desktop computers. However, the interface is fully adaptive, allowing users to seamlessly engage with it on any device, including mobile phones and tablets.
Results
07
The government contract was successfully completed and fully implemented. A year later, the service received high praise from schools, publishers, and parents. The Ministry of Education is now planning to further develop the platform and make it a mandatory part of the educational process.
